Shooting Video with the Panasonic GH5
Panasonic’s new GH5 is a 4K HDR video beast! This hybrid stills/video camera offers some outsized specs for its size, including UHD 4K at 60 fps, DCI/UHD 4K at 24/30 fps with internal 10-bit 4:2:2 recording, 12 fps continuous shooting, 4K and 6K PHOTO, 5-axis in-body stabilization, and more. It also features a newly developed 20.3MP Digital Live MOS sensor without a low-pass filter with 1.66x faster processing and a new Venus Engine that is 1.3x faster to help produce and process the imagery. The GH5 uses the same battery as the GH4 and GH3, the DMW-BLF19. If you’re a video shooter who wants the peace of mind knowing you have an uninterrupted power source for your camera, or doesn’t want to purchase multiple (and expensive) proprietary camera batteries, take a look at the Case Relay Camera Power System. Connect Case Relay to a Tether Tools Rock Solid External Battery Pack (10,000 mAh) and you’ll be able to shoot considerably longer than you would with your standard camera battery. A 10,000 mAh external battery provides more than 5 times the power of a GH5 camera battery! Need more power? Hot swap in another power bank and continue shooting while never losing power to your camera.
Here’s what you’ll need to power your GH5:
