The TetherBoost™ Core Controller regulates the power from DSLR/Digital Backs to the computer allowing providing a stable tethered connection. TetherBoost can be used with or without external power and will facilitate producing a reliable connection. When using external power, either via an AC outlet or battery bank it will allow you to go longer distances and decrease the power draw from the camera, increasing the camera’s battery life. tbusb30-Tether-Tools-TetherBoost-diagram   Using the TetherBoost With No External Power 1. Plug your USB 3.0 Micro-B cable up to 15’ or USB 3.0 Active Extension cable into your computer, and the other end into the TetherBoost. 2. Plug your 1 meter USB 3.0 Micro-B cable (included) or USB cable specific to camera up to 15’ into your camera, and the other end into the TetherBoost. Using the TetherBoost With External Power 1. Plug your USB 3.0 Micro-B cable up to 15’ or USB 3.0 Active Extension cable into your computer, and the other end into the TetherBoost. 2. Plug your 1 meter USB 3.0 Micro-B cable (included) or USB cable specific to camera up to 15’ into your camera, and the other end into the TetherBoost. 3. Connect a USB External Battery Pack to your TetherBoost using a TetherBoost USB-D/C Power Cable or USB cable. As an alternative, you can also power your TetherBoost with AC wall power using a TetherBoost A/C Power Adapter.
