Note: The Case Air is currently compatible with Canon & Nikon cameras only. Have you upgraded to the new Canon EOS R? Or the new Nikon Z7? Awesome! And you want to use your new camera with your Case Air Wireless Tethering System? Of course you do! Let’s get started. As you know, your new Canon EOS R sports a USB-C output port for tethering. The cable to connect your EOS R to the Case Air is not included with the Case Air. And I know the proprietary cable Canon supplies for this camera is a USB-C to USB-C. And the OTG cable supplied with the Case Air can only accept a USB-A male, not a USB-C. We have a solution for that! The Case Air Cable for USB-C Cameras (available in both a 6″ and 3′ length) is the answer you’ve been looking for. Make sure you purchase this cable as this is necessary to get your Case Air to work! Shown Below: Case Air Wireless Tethering System, USB-C to USB-A cable, OTG Cable, iPhone, and EOS R. Let’s connect the USB-C to USB-A cable to the Case Air supplied OTG cable. It’s one of the cables included with your Case Air and looks like this: Connect the OTG cable USB-A Female to the USB-A Male end of the USB-C to USB-A cable. Connect the OTG USB Micro B end into the Case Air. Connect the USB-C to USB-A cable into the camera USB-C port. Secure the Case Air to the hot shoe on the camera if you wish; the Case Air does not need to connect to the hot shoe to function. Connect the Case Air to your device and get to work! Happy shooting! If this is your first time using the Case Air, we have plenty of resources to help you get started. Questions? Please contact us at customersupport@tethertools.com. We’re here to help!
