Tom Barnes starting shooting at the age of five after being given a camera by his father at a family get together. Instantly hooked, his parents processed his film and replenished the collection and soon enough he discovered his love for portraits. At eighteen, Tom moved to Sheffield for university and filled his free time by diving head first into the art of photography. After schooling he moved back to London and began focusing on developing his commercial portraiture and personal work. His work now takes him all over the world and introduces him to characters he could only dream of meeting.
