How to Mount the Case Air When Using a Speedlight or Trigger
The award-winning Case Air Wireless Tethering solution includes an integrated hot shoe mount and is often featured in product photos atop the camera. This leads to a very common question from customers: If I’m using a trigger such as a PocketWizard or flash in my hot shoe, how do I mount my Case Air? There are quite a few options for securing your Case Air during a photo shoot when your camera’s hot shoe isn’t available. The device is small and lightweight, but it does need to be kept secure and out of the way.

Mount to Bottom of Camera Using a 1/4″-2o to 1/4″-20 Adapter Spigot

The Rock Solid 1/4″-20 to 1/4″-20 adapter allows users to attach their Case Air directly to the bottom female 1/4″-20 thread on their camera. At $4.99 USD this solution is both simple and affordable. To install, first attach the spigot to your Case Air, then thread into the female 1/4″-20 on your camera. Finally, plug the included USB cable into your camera and Case Air.

Clip to Your Camera Using the Provided Lanyard

The Case Air comes with a quick release lanyard in the box. This lanyard is a great option if you need to use the hot shoe mount for a strobe trigger or on camera flash. Since the Case Air is so light, it will comfortably hang without affecting the balance or positioning of the camera.
