How many times have you been tasked with creating a photograph in worst possible light or location? I don’t always have the opportunity of shooting at the golden hour. You can’t publish an excuse. I want to share with you how I use Off Camera Flash to control and shape the light into submission. It doesn’t matter what time of day, indoors or out; through mastering the control and shape of your light, no time is a bad time for a great picture. We will use all the light available and then mix in OCF to create the light we want no matter where or when. So don’t be afraid to shoot at high noon, inside that cave of a venue or the dark streets at night, your living room, get that flash off camera and create stunning images.
This is a 4 day lighting class, meeting once a week for 3 hours per class on June 6, 13, 20, 27, 2017. This is a down and dirty, workshop with celebrity photojournalist, Bob Davis. You’ll want to leave your lighting worries behind and bring what you love… your passion to learn and your cameras! Bob will show you how to get the shot mastering your flash and camera settings. You will be shooting with him as he reveals his techniques and helps you to improve the quality of your images right in camera. He’ll show you how to become a seeker of light and how to use creative lighting techniques to make each image sing!
Bob will begin with reviewing the gear, light modifiers, radio triggers, and shooting concepts. You will then practice those concepts in the class and then be given an assignment. The following week will be a review and critique before advancing to the next lesson, each class building upon the last. The purpose is to learn how to control and create light on location pushing your Speedlights to their limits, mastering all the features of your Speedlights, such as high speed sync, rear curtain sync, combining speed lights and available light in conjunction with radio triggers.

Class sessions will be 6:30 pm-9:30 pm on Tuesdays June 6, 13, 20, 27, 2017.
Class size limited to 20 and requires a minimum of 10 attendees to take place.
