Tethered Capture and Camera Control for Linux

If you like to shoot tethered and would prefer to use Linux, here’s a great options for you. Entangle provides a graphical interface for shooting tethered on Linux. It allows you to connect to your camera (as long as your camera is Canon or Nikon) and do the things you’d expect while working tethered:

  • Control the camera settings
  • Activate the camera shutter
  • Live preview before shooting
  • Automatically download and display photos as they are shot

Currently, they have builds for Fedora, Debian and FreeBSD, but you can always build your own from source.
